Kenworthy Community Orchard lies between Chorlton Waterpark and Northern Moor, Wythenshawe. It was planted in 1997 & contains around 100 fruit and nut trees, plus several beds of soft fruit. Until last year, there was no-one looking after the orchard and it has therefore suffered from neglect. Since adopting the orchard, Abundance has run workshops and volunteer days on apple pruning, currant care and hedgelaying, and installed much needed rabbit guards. Upcoming events include plum pruning, tree identification and mapping of the orchard. The orchard is very beautiful and well-loved, it just needs some TLC!

There is always tonnes to do, both practically - by coming to workshops and volunteer days, and to manage the orchard project - co-ordinating events and planning  maintenance and development work. Please visit the Kenworthy Orchard page of the Abundance website for more details or ring 07967 227 981.
