This latest FeedingManchester will be taking inspiration from a spectrum of sustainable food pioneers from local guerilla gardeners to Incredible Edible Todmordon to the campaign to stop global food speculation. Along with the usual mix of socialising and networking the events offer something for everyone involved in Greater Manchester's sustainable food movement.

Agenda for the day:

4.00 pm Refreshments & Introductions.

4.15 pm Manchester Food and Drink Festival. Discussion about our collective work to raise the profile of sustainable food:

  • Summary of the Sustainable Food events which took place.
  • Review: What worked, what didn't?
  • Lessons for next year's event.

4.45 pm Inspiration from across the World for our Sustainable Food projects:

5.45 pm Supper of soup & roll.

6.00pm What next for Greater Manchester's Sustainable Food Movement?:
Focused groups discuss three areas:

  • Campaigning for a sustainable food system – connecting local and global issues.
  • Co-operative food businesses to feed our City.
  • Increasing access to growing land in our communities.

6.45 pm Summing up & next steps.
7.15 pm Finish & Bulls Head pub to continue discussions.
