The next Feeding Manchester event (number 7) will be a mix of business and pleasure, with the first half of the event (from 5 til 7pm) focused on sharing stories of our work; hearing from inspiring sustainable food projects; exploring opportunities around the Food & Drink Festival and reviewing Manchester's Sustainable Food Steering Group progress over the last year. We will then be heading outside for a BBQ, beer and networking opportunities.
The event is free but please let us know you're coming so we can make sure we get enough food and beer in.
We are expecting over thirty progressive food groups and businesses from across Greater Manchester, so this is a great opportunity to join our city's growing sustainable food movement.
The aim of FeedingManchester #7 is to:
Update each other with our news and progress since the last FeedingManchester in March (2011)
Explore ways of raising the profile of sustainable food at this year's Food and Drink Festival.
Update and discussion about Manchester’s Sustainable Food Steering Group.
Networking and strengthening existing relationships.
We will start at 5pm in the Yard Theatre in Hulme and then head over the road to Hulme Community Garden Centre around 7 pm for a BBQ and beer. The bar will open at 7.30 and we'll finish at 9.30pm - event is free and organic food and beer will be available at cost price.
